The food was amazing with great portion and a small menu, that is only looked up thru a code on your phone, the service was not as pleasant and fast but a beautiful rooftop view for dining is for sure.Visited VU for some Saturday night fun with a large group.

While I acknowledge there were many factors going in in Chicago yesterday (looting from the night before, and a tornado warning) the least VU could have done was called us to CANCEL the reservation. We are not unreasonable people, we would have understood why it was closed, but what is unacceptable is to charge a reservation fee and not update us on the closure. You are asked to check any large bags and then can head up to the rooftop. However security and hostess (Alex) were extremely rude and condescending. The refined spot is opening both their outdoor spaces with a revamped food and drink program.
They informed us VU was closed for the day!
I know there was talk on yelp about a dress code.
After our event we chilled in the lounge and grabbed a few more drinks.
