The main problem is that the melody is played by a solo instrument on the background tracks and it is difficult to sing over the solo instrument version particularly if these tracks are used for personal recording purposes. This was one of 3 cd's that I ordered to go along with the machine. So if you don't feel comfortable singing the Disney version you can always sing the one produced by convicted murderer Phil Spector.

We really like the cd and the kids have so much fun with it. A real karaoke CD contains files that provide both music and lyrics on-screen. If you, however, have a child that can read the lyrics, they will need to read the song book that comes in the cd case and not from the tv screen. Good quality background tracks.
