The rotating lead system works okay. Sometimes the tip of the angled point can scratch or catch on the paper.

The gel grip is comfortable and just the right size. As you use a regular mechanical pencil, the lead wears down on one side, forming a slanted wedge-shaped tip. I use it mostly for drawing and I tend to grip hard ( Subconsciously for some reason ) onto pencils so drafting pencils with hard plastic or metal grips leaves my digits with callouses and strained fingers in a very short session of using other pencils.
