The Steins;Gate 0 guidebook’s explanation of the title leaves out mention of the CTC theory but does explain the term as being derived from the Japanese terms 閉曲線(heikyokusen, closed curve) and 閉じられた時間軸(tojirareta jikanjiku, closed time axis).
