I thought it just defied gravity.Anyways, second time watching I now realize just how many important concepts and characters are introduced in this single episode. Its a chill, entertaining SoL in the beginning which is really necessary for exposition, as you mentioned.I can see how the beginning can be slow to some but I never felt that way when I first watched it. For this episode: Hi rewatcher, please continue giving easter eggs for new anime watchers like me. I know early Steins;Gate gets flack for being really slow, but the exposition in this episode (and also in the visual novel) was what really hooked me to the story. Seems more like part chuuni part defense mechanism, especially since whenever we see him alone or we are able to listen to his thoughts his mad scientist persona is way toned down. If you're a bit confused or are wondering how all of these pieces fit together (or if they fit all), just know that we're only on episode two!Interestingly, I wonder if you all appreciated that small scene around the 7:45 mark as much as I did; that is, the scene where Mayuri does a spin and then gleefully leans on Okabe's back! Kurisu's was closer (though she wasn't loaded with screentime), but I felt that she had a bit more edge to her voice in the English dub, which really worked. This is definitely one of the season's best.If i can say this is one of the best if not the best anime so far for this season :pdid anyone understand reference from the first episode, when makise kuresu asked him what you wanted to tell me about 15 minutes ago but okabe rintaru was clueless, he even said, "who are you?"
