Landing lights are a lot brighter than running light and are easy to miss.I'm voting to close this question as off-topic because it isn't about astronomy.Depending upon the satellite geometry, if it is spinning sometimes you can see it as a blinking light as it goes by. So I'd always look for secluded areas to sit alone and listen to music or just stare at things.
