Pinging from the client to the AP, Default Gateway, Core Switch, ZD, or outside to a website is intermittent. Here’s my recap of the wireless issues I have been having with Ruckus. I've dealt with this same exact issue.The forbid command is just so someone can't accidentally put a port in that given vlan..if the vlan isn't tagged/untagged on an interface, then packets for that said vlan won't be transmitted.Thanks for the suggestions! 2. My scenario is is: I have a user with a single R500 in need of additional coverage, I plan to add a single R510 unleashed AP and then convert the stand alone unit to unleashed - creating a seamless WLAN. Turning some on and some off on both the 2.4 & 5 GHz with no luck.
We have a vendor in who can not figure it out and when I say dropouts, the mac's internet/chrome/safari would stop resolving, hang for about 30 seconds and then the WiFi comes back on that machine.
After our testing it would be hard to believe that this is a network or RF issue at this point. My home wifi network wont show up in the available networks but it is showing on all phones and other laptops in house.
Sounds like that will be the cause in your situation. Anything in the switch logs?I have ruled out duplicate IPs on both the APs (which are on their own network VLAN with controller that doesn’t have internet access).
