As a Cross fan, am using their pens since 2005 and this also excellent one.But comparing to my Classic Century 10 karat gold plated, this pen is little shiny and loose grip like my Century Medalist II. The box is cardboard and would be OK except someone stuck the slide case down with sticky tape which meant it damaged the box! Not as good as other Cross pens I have. Having received the Classic Century Medalist Pencil 0.7MM with 23CT Gold-Plated Appointments, I am bitterly disappointed. $279.99 $ 279. I brought this to replace a gift from Christmas, the original got stolen- I wouldn't mind as much if it was going to be used, but it was likely taken by one of my pupils at school. There was an outer slide case and an inner box, so absolutely no need.
