The best food in Sister Lakes BY FAR!! The fries I have to say were excellent so nothing to change there. Onion rings were beer battered and very good. (Like us). The menu is limited which isn't always a bad thing because it usually means homemade fresh food but that wasn't the case here. Only two other groups there when we were. The only reason this place gets 3 stars is that the food is pretty average. I actually met Dan. For instance, three of us ordered the burgers and they were frozen patties cooked on the griddle. Tried again tonight because of hearing several people had recent positive experience. Very nice, comfortable, welcoming place and great fried pickles!We were visiting the area and looking for a quick bite to eat. Pulled pork was special.Stopped here on a whim. The chicken sandwich was also a very large portion. Fried pickles tasted fresh and had more pickle than breading which is a good thing. Located in beautiful Sister lakes Michigan right on Round Lake. We ended up with the fried pickles and French fries which of course were plentiful basket fills and cheap as heck. Very relaxing.

Sister Lakes bar/restaurant option We visited Dockside Dan's along with several family members a few times this past summer as they joined the local scene in Sister Lakes. We sat on the patio overlooking Round Lake and had a nice break from our ride. Come have lunch or enjoy a cocktail on our patio. Other places were closed or had events. It was a gorgeous evening to sit outside! Great place for lunch.The atmosphere was pleasant and the service was very good. The service was fast and friendly. And hands down the best spaghetti in Michigan. Wonderful experience, highly recommend if you like good bar food and sitting outside.We last visited about 2 years ago. It's a great addition to the area!
The dish will go over much better and nobody will care about the extra $5 because it will be quality. I'm just as guilty of it. My boyfriend was very excited to stop there since he'd read the view was very nice. So we ordered our food and it took an EXTREMELY LONG TIME to get it. You can see the water but no outdoor seating as it appears. The food was good, beer was cold and service was fine. While on vacation with friends, this was the perfect spot to relax, have a drink, and grab a bite.OMG THE ST. PAT'S CORNED BEEF IS AWESOME. Owners are not local, they live in another state and it shows that they are not "hands on"...Went during one of their opening weekends this summer and gave 2 stars for the following: Indoor and outdoor seating with great bar and yummy food. Not unreasonable but you'll never call this place cheap or affordable. Water tasted VERY iron-y....it was gross. Enjoyed watching everyone on the water. So we found a table with a nice view and waited a couple mins before the waitress came to greet us; she was very nice.
And when we did receive it, it wasn't that good. Our server was excellent and the burger and fries were delicious. The owner stopped by to introduce himself and ask about our visit. Both good but chicken needed more pesto.
They also have this North Pier brewing on tap, in case you're into the foo foo beer scene.Wow that's a damn good burger and wings.... and fries.. and slaw. The price was a bit steep for what you got. Slow roasted in Guinness. Hope it staysGreat bar with nice views. My husband has the Cod sandwich which was more like a frozen fish sandwich not fresh in case you thought it was.
