I ordered a macchiato, which was good and heavily caffeinated, exactly what I wanted - there are 2 espresso shots in the small and 4 in the medium. I always look for an extra kick of caffeine so I opt for nitro cold brew. I'd want to try their tea next, but simply wasn't blow away by their coffee. I was just visiting, so they were helpful with some local advice. This is an amazing coffee shop in downtown Chicago.
The staff is friendly and inviting!Friendliest staff ever. They also have monitors showing the wait for the next trains and buses. Not to take any shine away from the coffee, but the glazed donut was just perfection. June 2018.

I made a mental note and was glad to make a quick stop for a caffeine boost soon after I landed in Chicago on this trip. It is an icon with title Down Triangle. I am used to rather abysmal tea options (bagged, ground a la Lipton)… Tim Coonan’s résumé includes two Michelin-star restaurants, Chez Messonier L’Ermitage and Le St. Didier, but he grew up on a farm in Indiana. The toasted marshmallow adds a nice touch.
No issues with the shop or staff, both are very nice, but I think they could do with revisiting the blend they're using for their espresso and evaluate introducing Single Origins into their menuTerrible cappuccino. We’ve chosen a light roast that brings out notes of sweet stone fruits, violets, and tangerine. The coffee was strong but not bitter.

Staff was friendly.I've been going here for about a year to buy beans and sometimes a drink but I'm giving up.This is right around the corner from my company's HQ so I love stopping in when I'm visiting.
